As Christians, we are all called to counsel or disciple others (Matt 28:19–20). It just helps to be trained! The more training you have, the more effective you will be. Our programs are designed to help you serve more effectively in your church or ministry setting as a volunteer or a staff person.  

As you grow in experience in helping others, you may find that you desire to consider counseling as a vocation. Each church or ministry setting will have its own requirements for employing biblical counselors. Our certificate program will not be recognized by states or insurance companies to allow you to seek licensure or third-party payments. However, we always encourage students to continue their training and at the same time to begin to look for opportunities to use anything they already know to help others to grow.
